Built according to philological criteria on a late 19th century model, it is an authentic example of the local shipbuilding tradition. Today it sails between Tavolara and the Island of Molara, also distinguishing itself in Latin sailing regattas for its excellent sailing skills.
Maria 1899
Lateen sailboat: length 12mt
La Maria, launched in 1899 in Carloforte, is a historic vessel that has marked the maritime life of northern Sardinia: from fishing to smuggling, from the transport of materials for the port of Golfo Aranci to connections with Tavolara. After several changes of ownership and a long restoration, it now sails as a vintage sailing ship, offering an authentic experience immersed in the history of the Sardinian sea.
Leonidas
Latin Sailboat: length
The Leonidas is a faithful reconstruction of an ancient 19th century Ligurian leudo, a typical merchant ship used for cabotage in the Mediterranean. Thanks to the recovery of the original drawings and careful philological work, it is now sailing again as a living testimony of maritime tradition. From 2026 it will be part of the Sailing San Paolo fleet, offering experiences of navigating the Maddalena Archipelago.
